The board meets the second Monday of every month at the
Mitchell Township Hall 6849 W. Tower Road, Curran, MI 48728                 Please note that there are no regular meetings scheduled in January or July.

Mitchell Township is one of  eleven townships located in Alcona County. With an area comprised of four townships, of 36 square miles each, for a total of 144 square miles, Mitchell Township is not only the largest township in Alcona County but one of the largest in the state. The township, organized in 1890, is named after pioneer Dr. David Mitchell . Over one-quarter of the township is located within the Huron National Forest. There were 352 residents as of 2010 census.
