financial software used by the township.

MEETINGS DATE/TIME Resolution 2022-12
The Township Board passed a resolution
to change the day of the meeting to the second Thrusday of the
month and time for meetings to 7:00
pm beginning
in 2023- There will
be no regular meetings in July
Mitchell Township is one of eleven townships located in Alcona
County.
With an area comprised of four townships, of 36 square miles each, for a total
of 144 square miles, Mitchell Township is not only the largest township in
Alcona County but one of the largest in the state. The township, organized in
1890, is named after pioneer Dr. David Mitchell . Over one-quarter of the
township is located within the Huron National Forest. There were 352 residents
as of 2010 census.
